The court battle continues for Alicia Florrick. Her rival, Cary, is ready to bring her down at any cost, however, Alicia will hold her own. At the firm, the attorney focuses her efforts on deepening relationships, whether it be with Diane, her boss, or Kalinda, her best friend.

Alicia has stepped up. The time of being weak is over. With more strength in her relationships and a greater intensity in the courtroom, Alicia experiences an unusual change in her personality, a change that the lawyer approves of.

Although Alicia and Will come to terms with their romantic relationship, both must face the consequences. Cary is still determined to bring Alicia down, and he will have an ally who is just as eager to see Alicia fall as Alicia’s enemy. He is Peter.

The Good Wife has one of those problems and stigmas that are pretty hard to shake off: **a bad name**. Just looking at it, it sounds like the boring story of an old republican lady, the name doesn’t even make you think it’s another procedural lawyer series (the kind that has a case every week and solves it at the end of each episode) that’s mildly entertaining. When in fact it is a highly entertaining procedural lawyer series, and it turns out that this is the least interesting thing about the whole show.

After suffering through a job search, a college friend, **Will Gardner (Josh Charles)** gives him a job at his own law firm, Lockhart & Gardner. Will and Alicia also had a past relationship that didn’t amount to much but whose flame was clearly not completely extinguished. This creates an interesting and highly intense love triangle not at all like Twilight. This firm is full of very interesting characters that keep popping up and taking center stage as time goes on. **Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski a.k.a. Leonard’s mom)** is Will’s partner, and a very scary, ultra-confident, Hillary Clinton fan. **Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi)** is the firm’s reckless investigator, and a highly mysterious character who strikes up a chemistry-filled relationship with Alicia. And, **Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry a.k.a. Rory’s boyfriend)** who becomes Alicia’s rival early on as the two fight for a better position at the firm during the first few seasons.

Unlike her husband, Alicia doesn’t get slapped for sleeping with prostitutes. Rather, Diane slaps her because Alicia (during cross-examination at Peter’s trial) undermined Diane’s husband, making him seem untrustworthy and not credible, in the hopes of saving Peter from going to jail.
